The application needs to be accompanied by a current TB test. If you are a parent returning to volunteer at Buchser, you just need to have a current volunteer application on file.

Parents and students received the picture day flyer in the Back to School Registration folder in August. There are extras in the offices if you need another one. You may also order pictures online by clicking on the banner below.
All students will have a picture taken for a school ID card and for the Buchser Yearbook.

Student and Parent Information Handbooks Available Online
Student and Parent Information Handbooks will only be available online. SCUSD will no longer be distributing hard copies. Please follow the links below to view the handbook in the language of your choice.
Handbooks can be printed and/or saved as a PDF document on your preferred electronic device. If you do not have access to view the documents online each school site will have a limited amount of hard copies available at the start of the school year. The District Office will also have a copy of each handbook available to view.

Early Release Thursday and Back to School Night - 9/1
This Thursday, 9/1 is an early release Thursday at Buchser. School will be dismissed at 1:25.
This Thursday is also Back to School Night for Parents. Your child should have brought home a flyer with their schedule. Please bring this flyer with you Thursday evening so that you can follow your child's daily schedule. BTSN starts with the PTA General Meeting at 6:00 pm in the Library, then a brief "Welcome" at 6:30 in the Auxiliary Gym, followed by classroom visits starting at 6:45 pm. This is a night for parents only to come to the school, visit your child's classrooms, and meet the teachers.
Buchser Staff Welcome Back Brunch - Treats needed for 9/2
The PTA is coordinating a Welcome Back-To-School brunch for our teachers and staff here at Buchser on Friday, Sept. 2nd @ 7:30am.
We need brunch treat donations as well as a few volunteers to help make this a success. Please go to SignUp and give us your support.
Please drop of goodies on "Market St." behind the library (volunteer should be out there with a cart) or bring treats into "Staff Lounge" (check in with Annette in the office).

Labor Day Holiday, No School on 9/5
School Picture Day - Thursday, 9/8
School pictures will be taken on Thursday, 9/8. Order forms were included in the back to school registration folder each family received early August. Extra copies may be found in the Buchser offices. Parent volunteers will be needed; please stay tuned for more information coming from PTA.

Attached please find our ESL Packet that you signed and your child has returned to me last week. It allows students to work on class computers, library computers, video presentations, and pictures. Also, short field trips. It is very important that you sign and return the packet if you may have forgotten.
