    Round Two Open Enrollment for 2023-2024

    The following information is for families who would like to apply for Open Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year. Open enrollment allows families who reside within our district boundaries to request enrollment for their children at any school within our district if space is available. You do not need to apply for Open Enrollment if you want your child to attend their school of residence. 

    If you have already been accepted through the first round of Open Enrollment, you do not need to reapply. Students who did not get accepted to their school of choice through the first round of Open Enrollment, or who missed the deadline, can apply during this window. 

    The second round of Open Enrollment for grades kindergarten through 12th grade begins March 20, 2023, and ends at 4 p.m. on April 14, 2023.

    To view the schools that are available to apply to through the second round of Open Enrollment, visit our Open Enrollment webpage. Admittance to the school of your choice under Open Enrollment is done by an annual random lottery system. You will be notified of the status of your application no later than May 8, 2023.

    Peterson+ Program

    The Peterson+ Program lottery opens on March 20, 2023, and ends at 4 p.m. on March 31, 2023. To apply for Peterson + Program, students must live within the Peterson Middle School attendance boundaries or have been accepted through the Open Enrollment process for the 2022-2023 school year.     Current Students Enrolled in SCUSD

    All students currently attending SCUSD may complete an Open Enrollment Application for the 2023-2024 school year if they wish to attend a school that is not their school of residence. For instructions on how to complete the application please visit our Open Enrollment webpage.

    New Students to SCUSD 

    Prior to applying for Open Enrollment, students not attending SCUSD for the 2023-2024 school year must register at their school of residence through our centralized Enrollment Center.
